Delete your account
You can delete your Dared account, by Dared.App, and all the data that goes with it at any time.
In the app
- Open Dared and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account is deleted straight away. If you have a stake on a running challenge, it is settled first under the rules you agreed to when you joined.
If you can't sign in
Email contact@dared.app with the subject Delete my Dared account, from the email address on the account, or include the phone number you sign in with.
What we delete
- Your account, sign-in details and profile (name, username, photo, bio, interests, birth year).
- Your check-ins, photo and video proof, showcases, posts, replies, questions, cheers and follows.
- Your notification settings and push tokens.
Deletion is completed within 30 days. Copies in backups are overwritten within a further 30 days.
What we keep
- Payment records for stakes, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Records of moderation actions and reports involving your account, for up to 12 months, or longer if we must keep them for a legal claim or a report to authorities.
These are kept separately and are not linked to a profile anyone can see.
